The vehicle wrap experts at Iconography are proud to have produced and installed these stunning graphics for the Flying Lizard Livery in preparation for the 2011 24 Heures du Mans. Watch the Video.
Created by California-based artist Troy Lee, the designs celebrate the history of Porsche at Le Mans. This was a complicated project from start to finish. The graphics that Troy designed were stunning and, like most exceptional work, not the easiest thing to reproduce for application on a three-dimensional object. Furthermore, each vehicle needed to receive three full sets of graphics so that body parts such as fenders, bumpers and door panels could easily be swapped out in the event of a minor scrape during the event. For our installation team, this meant swapping out the panels during the installation process to make sure all the intricate graphics lined up properly from panel to panel.
The graphics were printed at prepared at Iconography Studios in Los Alamitos, CA. Once the graphics were ready, our installation team took them up to the Flying Lizard Livery in Sonoma, CA where they were expertly installed by our 3M certified graphics installation team.
See below for progress shots of the graphics installation, as well as video from the pit in Le Mans, France!
