Sarah Naccarato, Co-Founder, President & CEO
Sarah is President, CEO and Co-Founder of Iconography. Along with her husband, James Naccarato, a nationally-recognized artist, the founders of the company bring more than 30 years of combined experience in graphic design and project management, two of the most important skills required to deliver the best signs and graphic displays from concept to installation.
Sarah has over 15 years experience in sales and project management with SunAmerica, Korn/Ferry International, and most recently as Director of Operations Improvement with Heidrick & Struggles, Inc. In this role, she led the team that conceptualized, built and managed an off-shore research facility in New Delhi, India. Sarah oversaw the growth of the Knowledge Management Center from 3 to 120 people and the integration of operations from over 40 offices in 30 countries.
Sarah graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. Something few people know about Sarah is that she grew up on a farm where she raised pigs, so she knows how to recognize a load of crap when she sees it. She and her husband James reside in Long Beach, California with their three children.
James Naccarato, Co-Founder, Creative Director and General Manager
James Naccarato was born in Kingston NY, and raised in California. At a young age, he took a strong interest in 16th and 17th century classical painting, cubism and surrealism. Growing up, Naccarato was inspired by California culture and identified with street art, comics, and various underground art movements. He earned his B.F.A degree from the Laguna College of Art and Design where he studied Fine Art and Illustration, and developed his signature style of painting. Naccarato is known for his colorful and playful creatures who often have a fictional quality to them, and at the same time feel very natural, organic, and possibly preternatural – perhaps even “real.”
The artist lives in Long Beach, California with his wife Sarah and three children. His work has been featured in numerous national exhibitions at galleries including CoproNason, Limited Addiction Gallery, Corey Helford Gallery, Track 16 Gallery at Bergamot Station, M Modern, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, and Thinkspace Art Gallery.
