Focus Diagnostics, headquartered in Cypress, CA, manufactures and distributes molecular and immunology products to hospitals and commercial laboratories worldwide. For fun, they like to offer custom wraps of the 3M Integrated Cycler to their customers. Iconography Studios is proud to produce and install these custom wraps on the Cyclers.
The Focus Diagnostics Integrated Cycler Wraps have been a fun and creative collaboration. These specialty instruments have been wrapped to resemble everything from football helmets to fishbowls and dinosaurs. The process for designing, producing and installing these wraps is very similar to that of vehicle wraps, just on a much smaller scale.
First, the wraps need to be designed. Whether it is a simple pantone color call-out, or a more creative and labor-intensive design like a dinosaur, our in-house design team works closely with the design team at Focus Diagnostics to make sure everything fits correctly when it is printed and installed.
The wrap material we use for these is the same high quality, 3M vehicle grade vinyl with a matching 3M UV laminate for durability. These wraps are printed on our Roland Large Format Digital Printers, using only OEM inks for the utmost in color vibrancy.
Finally, the wraps are installed on the Cyclers – which sounds much easier than it actually is. These are probably the most difficult wraps we do, given the egg shape of the unit – no vehicle is quite as curvy.
